Formed in 1996 after an internal restructure on Square, this division handled Mana and SaGa releases such as Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier and SaGa Frontier 2.
After the merging with Enix Corporation, development of the Mana series would be transferred to Square Enix Product Development Division 8, while development on SaGa would remain on Division 2.
