In a forgotten, post-societal America swallowed by an endless flood, the land has broken apart into scattered islands linked only by a vast, winding river. A young girl named Scout, joined by her loyal dog, sets out downstream on a makeshift raft in search of safety. Their journey carries them through overgrown backwaters and the crumbling remnants of a world left behind.
