Storyline
Set during the apocalyptic End Times of the Warhammer Fantasy universe, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 follows the "Ubersreik Five"—a band of unlikely heroes who previously defended the city of Ubersreik from the rat-like Skaven. At the start of the game, the heroes are captured by the Skaven Grey Seer Rasknitt, but manage a desperate escape after a mass-teleportation portal, known as the Skittergate, malfunctions. Operating from a hidden mountain stronghold called Taal's Horn Keep under the guidance of spymaster Franz Lohner, the heroes discover that the Skaven have formed a dark alliance with the Rotbloods, a savage clan of Chaos-worshipping northmen devoted to Nurgle, the Plague God. Together, this unholy pact has captured the vital fortress city of Helmgart. The Ubersreik Five must wage a brutal guerrilla war across the Reikland to disrupt enemy supply lines, assassinate key enemy commanders, and ultimately launch a final strike to destroy the Skittergate before a massive Chaos army can be summoned to wipe out the Empire.Read more
