The final days of the year 1999 are approaching. Buster Everman is an accountant at Dharke Electronics, a company that specializes in robotics and AI technology. After the death of its founder, a gothic horror writer, the company used his mansion as a testing ground for a fully automatized home management system, with robotic servants controlled by a master computer. Now the Dharke Mansion is for sale, and Buster decides to buy it, after having unexpectedly won the lottery. Y2K: The Game is a third-person point-and-click adventure game. Locations are viewed from fixed camera positions, similarly to Alone in the Dark games. Most of the puzzles in the game are dedicated to fixing various computerized devices or figuring out the way to access locked rooms and safes.
